This acrylic and metal award was conceptualised and created for Chandavana film critic academy. The shape of the trophy was designed to accommodate a metal medallion depicting a 6th century  sculpture of Natraja (Dancing Shiva, located in Badami in North Karnataka)in the front and the logo of the academy at the back .[This sculpture was chosen by the client because any combination of the left and the right hand of the sculpture depicts a pose of the Bharatanatyam dance form] the body contains the name of the award along with the edition the base has a film strip with images of some of the most iconic scenes from kannada cinema.
